Message	Injectors are the same, and the TPS should be as well. My suspicion would be to look at the ECU. You probably already know the '96MY USA engines were slightly different animals due to the OBD-II requirements. I've read that you can control them with an earlier MY ECU, but they'll run rich and tend to fail inspections. You might want to look at getting a '96 ECU program for it (assuming you aren't already using one).
